The Post Office Card Account to remain until 2021

Two million people per week collect their pension using this card, yet did you know this service was due to cease in March 2015 ?

Now, thanks to a new deal struck with the Post Office, people will be able to continue using this service until 2021. Many people have their benefits paid into their bank account but for the many elderly people who have never had a bank account this is  the only way for them to access their money.

Users of this service are able to access their money from any of the 11,500 post offices and 2,500 ATMS in them to check their balance and withdrawn funds. With many post offices now offering extended opening times and more than 2000 open on Sundays it is an easy and accessible way for pensioners and their carers to access payments at a convenient time.
