Elderly fostering

I have to admit I am stuck for words, but as usual when something rattles my cage then somehow they follow!

Today Jan 14th ( the day before my little sisters 40 th Birthday) the Telegraph news paper publish an article about families fostering an elderly person.

It’s a fantastic idea, rather like the idea I emailed Norman Lamb last year suggesting “Adopt a Gran”.

HOWEVER that is where the good bit ends and the rubbish part starts!

Whilst this is a pilot scheme (so to speak) in response to the closure of residential homes how can the government justify paying a foster carer £224 a week and family member who cares for a loved one £59.75 !!!

Once again an injustice to carers who save the government £119 billion a YEAR.(source carers UK)

Please please please share this message, tweet, Facebook, email and we will see if the government have anything to say.
