The Home Heat Helpline

As Winter deepens, how many elderly people are worried about their fuel bills?

Apparently research by Age UK suggests that as many as 3 million are and I would like to raise awareness about the  Home Heat Helpline http://www.homeheathelpline.org.uk/

They can offer help and advice to anyone elderly or disabled who is worried about paying for energy and heat. This is really useful as many elderly people are failing to heat their homes adequately and risking their health.

Many people phone on behalf of their friends, relatives and neighbours. Since it began, the Home Heat Helpline has received over 300,000 calls from across Britain. Nearly half of callers said that they had cut down their energy bills after calling us and many more were able to access benefits and grants. The Homeheathelpline also take calls from care professionals and other organisations such as the Citizens Advice Bureau and housing associations.

I am sending out FREE room thermometer on behalf of Age UK. To get one for someone elderly or vulnerable please complete the form below.

I have sent out well over 300 already ( at my own expense – apart from a very few kind souls who have covered my costs ) plus arranged a couple of bulk deliveries to large retirement establishments in London.
