Come on Age UK!

This winter with energy prices still high, there is a growing concern that many elderly people are failing to heat their homes adequately.

With an estimated 31,000 deaths in people over 65 Age UK are still asking for the elderly to contact their MPs to complain about fuel prices.

This is all good and well and I appreciate this is important. However I am inundated with requests for the free room thermometers I am distributing on BEHALF of Age UK as relatives are struggling to find them elsewhere.

I am not complaining ,I just genuinely feel that it should have been made clear that whilst we need to lobby government in the immediate future we need to ensure our elderly are not dying from the cold. Why then did Age UK not reiterate that they have guides to keeping warm and well and room thermometers ?

I have emailed them my thoughts.
