Retirement development flaws ( again )

Retirement development flaws

Once again I am back on my soap box having a rant!  This is in a Peverell development  where one of  my clients lives.

She has had problems with her shower cubicle leaking water through the door. She has been advised to turn the shower head to the left of the cubicle as shown in the picture to avoid the water hitting the door which is directly in front of the shower fitting.

If the doors on the shower cubicles are not watertight, does it not make logical sense to position the shower fitting on the right hand-side wall to then direct the water away from it ?

She now has less space to shower and is less safe as she is not able to stand squarely to do so.
