Dementia awareness week and the message is “Don’t bottle it up”

A date for your diary, this years Dementia awareness week runs from 18-24 May and the society is encouraging its supporters to get involved in raising awareness of dementia and funds for the Alzheimers Society.

The message for the week is ” Don’t bottle it up” and the publicity will encourage people who have concerns about dementia to reach out to the Alzheimers Society for support.

People are encouraged to get involved organising events such as afternoon teas, quizzes or craft sessions at home or work and inviting and encouraging friends and family to become involved and join in and donate money and time to raise vital funds for the society. All funds raised from the events taking place across England, Northern Ireland and Wales will be used to make a difference for people affected by dementia.
