Elderly or disabled people wanting to travel overland have additional help now.

Have you ever tried travelling with someone with a wheelchair or someone with mobility problems? It can be a sheer nightmare at times. A new website  has been created to help people with mobility problems effectively plan overland journeys across the  UK . d-trekkers is designed to be a community led resource offering up to date and trustworthy information about train and bus stations provided by disabled travellers themselves.

Individuals will be able to raise access difficulties via the website and offer advice so other travellers can have a better experience of a similar journey.

The small team at D-trekkers have been building their website also welcome opinions on how the site itself can improve as like the journeys they want it to be a user friendly experience. Why don’t you pop over to d-trekkers using this link and let them know what you think.
