Book Review – The Dementia Whisperer

By Ages B Juhasz.

I was delighted to be asked to review this book as the winner of  the health and social care category at the UK Blog Awards 2016.

Wow! What a read, it is a real gem. Ideal as a stand-alone book for anyone with no connection to dementia just as an interesting, beautifully written book. For anyone caring for someone with dementia it then becomes an incredibly useful tool in the care workbox. Packed full of great ideas and solutions to everyday problems facing a carer for someone with dementia. Practical without being stuffy. You can read the first chapter here free. What do you think ?  I am sure like me you melted into the pages, gripped and warmed.

I found it unbelievably honest and human.Agnes is not only happy to celebrate her “wins” when she discovers another way to solve a problem or ease a situation but she is also woman enough to hold her hands up and admit her stress, fatigue, and understandable frustration at times.

Starting at a very readable £3.99 for the ebook, the Dementia Whisperer is also available in paper back and a paperback(£12.08). Both available here on Amazon. Plus if you buy your copy here then you are helping me to help others as I receive a 5% commission at no additional cost to you.
