Fortisip, nutrition boosting drinks

These drinks are ideal for anyone elderly who may not be getting the vitamins or minerals they need to remain healthy. These easy to consume booster drinks are available on prescription and aid weight maintenance or promote weight gain.

They are available in a range of formulas, some with added fibre, some with no fibre. Other Fortisip products are available as a juice or yoghurt and are all designed to aid maximum nutrition for someone elderly or unwell.

Providing advanced medical nutrition, within the Fortisip range there are 12 different types of drinks each with their own delicious flavours. The range is dedicated to being a nutritionally complete, high energy or high protein supplement for the management of disease related malnutrition, ranging from 100kcal per 100ml (Fortimel Regular) to 244 kcal per 100ml (Fortisip Drinks Compact) with the desserts having either 133kcal per 100g (Fortisip Fruit Dessert) or 160kcal per 100g (Forticrem Complete).

Fortisip Drinks Compact is a milkshake style supplement that is the highest in energy  of all the range , containing 2.4kcal/ml making 300kcal/125ml bottle. They are available in 4 flavours; Vanilla, Strawberry, Banana and Mocha.

Fortisip Drinks Compact can be used for the same reason, weight gain, the only difference being the Compact is a smaller bottle yet contains the same 300 kcals and more vitamins and minerals than the Fortisip Drinks Bottle and is better for more severe cases of weight loss.

The drinks are available on prescription or to purchase.
