this is my favourite picture for the blog Caron Cares. It shows a glass heart in a hand.

Hi Caron , I am contacting you from the good care group, we are the UKs most awarded domiciliary care provider and specialise in dementia care. We have a few resources that we’d love to share with you. An in depth A-Z guide to dementia and a evidence based independent study evaluating the types of care available to the elderly that considers what works best.

We believe that these are extremely valuable resources, we would love to make them widely available to all of those in this community

Hope to hear from you soon
Danielle

Hello Caron,
I found your website very interesting and informative. I am hoping you might be able to help me with my project.

I work for ‘The Befriending Scheme’ based in Sudbury Suffolk. I am the project coordinator for ‘Suffolk Switched On’. In a nutshell, SSO undertakes home assessments to help those that might be at risk of fuel debt or poverty. We use mentors & volunteers to help us undertake home visits to look at all sorts of ways of saving fuel, ranging from comparison websites, to water/heat behaviours, insulation, draught excluders & thermostats.

We work in partnership with ‘CAB’ for their financial capability initiative,’Warm Homes Healthy People’ for boiler or insulation improvements, ‘Lofty Heights’ for loft clearing( get insulation in) and ‘Age Uk’ for those over 63yrs needing additional help & support.

Recently, I have been attempting to get hold of room thermometers to be able to give out on my visits, as a charity we do not have the funds to purchase such items. I notice that you advertise the dispensing of these, and but wondered if you were able to help me out? I would be happy to pay postage and packaging and try to get agreement for a small contribution towards the purchase.

I look forward to hearing from you and well done on a great website!

Kind Regards

Tania Baker

I have personally been in touch with Tania and Dawn her colleague and advised them how to obtain the thermometers and they have very kindly agreed to add my Caron Cares sticker to the cards. This is another example of how various agencies work happily together to share great services and resources and one of the reasons I just absolutely love what I do on my blog.
