Furniture for funds

If a relative or friend is downsizing the chances are they won’t be able to accommodate all their furniture in a smaller property.

If the unwanted items can’t be sold easily the usual destination for them is the local recycling centre. This involves transportation and in some cases can incur costs. This is also a waste of an often usable item. “Furniture for Fundraising”  is the idea behind the British Heart Foundations’ shops selling unwanted items.

The British Heart Foundation will collect unwanted items FREE if you call them on 0844 245 8466 or book online.

They will collect

  • sofas and armchairs
  • lounge furniture
  • beds and bedroom furniture
  • tables and chairs
  • TV’s,DVDs,Hi-Fi’s and docking stations
  • washing machines
  • fridges and dishwashers and other small electrical items.

So the next time a piece of furniture is no longer needed think “Furniture for fundraising”

They do also offer a house clearance service but charges may apply for this.
