Preparing Food With One Hand.
Preparing food with one hand is almost impossible. You don’t realise how fundamentally both hands work together until you are unable to use one of them. Whether you have had a Stroke, broken arm, severely arthritic hands or undergone hand surgery, your disability will be the same.
Loss of Independence
Most of us take the use of both hands for granted. You automatically use one hand to hold the item of food you want to slice or peel in one hand and the other to perform the task. If you lose the use of one hand either temporarily or permanently, it affects everyday tasks such as washing, dressing and preparing meals. This leads to a loss of independence and reliance on others.
One Handed Cutting Board
This one-handed cutting board is a great help at this time. It isn’t the cheapest aid at £100 but if it means you can stay independent and continue to prepare food you enjoy eating it’s a sound investment. Here are a couple of reviews from happy customers.
