Do you know the new numbers for our emergency services ? I didn’t when I needed to make a call the other day.
999 as before all emergency calls to fire, police and ambulance services
111 urgent but non emergency calls to the NHS helplines
101 urgent but not emergency calls to the police
Whilst on the subject of emergencies, a heart attack or stroke are medical emergencies. You can help by calling 999 and then giving the patient 300mg of aspirin.
