Donating unwanted cars for charity

Donating cars for charity is not a new phenomenon but the idea has been adopted by the Alzhiemers disease society in the UK.

This is how they advertise this.

“Too old or expensive to repair?”

If you have an old car you no longer use , why not put it to good use and raise money to help people with dementia?

To donate your car, call the Giveacar office on 0207 736 4242

or visit www.giveacar .co.uk for more information.

This is a good idea as you have to pay to have your car scrapped !

  1. Hello Vivien, the best company to help you with your stairlift query are A1 Stairlifts

  2. Hello Vivien,

It is lovely that you would like someone to benefit from your Aunts stair lift. In my experience there are few companies willing to take them away and re-cycle them due to cost and the availability of spare parts. Where are you in the Uk please and can you tell me the make and model and I will make some enquiries for you. Alternatively, you may like to advertise locally for someone to remove and install it for someone who would like it. It does seem like a terrible waste of money and a waste of life changing equipment.

  3. Hello, l would like to donate a stair lift of my late Aunts who sadly passed away last October. Its fully working excellent condition was just twelve months old when my Aunt passed away.
I would like to donate it to someone who really needs it.
    Kind regards.
    Vivien
