Care Home Bills to be Capped at £75,000

In the UK we are taxed to the hilt and yet even in our last years we are now looking at paying every last penny we own to pay for our care. I agree the care needs to paid for but where is the incentive to work and save if we know there will be nothing left for our children ?

How many of us will have the money to pay twice in the case of an elderly couple ? £150,000 is pretty much half to two thirds of the value of the average home and still people will be forced to sell ( at some point) to fund care.

With more and more younger people out of work the government coffers are not being topped up and the care crisis looms. To read the Daily Mail article on this recent announcement please click here
